Sensory, motor, perpetual and language skills are introduced through materials and activities which are both child-centered and teacher-directed. Activities are planned that emphasize process rather than product, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.
Based on the theory children learn through play, classroom routine encourage active involvement, meaningful experimentation and reinforcement through repetition. Schedules are designed to balance structure and free choice, as well as active and quiet time.
Recognizing that children grow in predictable stages, we teach each child as an individual, working from that level each child has attained and moving forward one step at a time. We value the active involvement of parents in our program through classroom participation, fundraising events, field trips, and donation of time and materials! This enables the children to see their parents as important, concerned members of their child’s preschool environment, while providing parents with observation and interaction opportunities.
